Grape Picking and Eating

I went to Misaka Nouen Grape House in Yamanashi Prefecture to do grape picking.

Misaka Nouen Grape House

A bus driver of the grape house take me to their grape farm. There are some grape trees. I was surprised by the fact that many grapes grows from only one tree. You can see that from the following picture.

If you pay 1,200 yen, you can eat grapes as much as you like with no time restriction. Grapes you can eat are like this.

Buntch of Grape

I was fully satisfied with three buntch of grapes.

Thank you.

Cook Dumpling

I cooked dumpling, or "gyoza" in Japanese, a few days ago.

Japanese people like dumpling very much. We know it tastes great with beer.

However, on the day, I ate the dumpling with Japanese sake. Japanese sake also tasted great with dumpling.

It looks nice, doesn't it?

Thank you.

Difficult to Read Kanji of Japanese Sake Name

Are you good at reading Kanji?

Even Japanese people sometimes feel difficult to read kanji names of Japanese sake. Japanese sake names often have difficult kanji.

Here is examples of it. This picture is a restaurant menu that I took last weekend.

I think most Japanese people cannot read the two sake names.

Here is the answer. The first one is "Kariho Rokusyu". The second one is "Jurakudai".

If you want to order a sake at a restaurant which you cannot read names like the examples above, you just have to point the menu and say "Please, this." to a restaurant staff.

I could not read both of them but could ordered with the method. Of course, both of them tasted good!

Thank you.

Eat Grilled Eel

Tonight I ate grilled eel for dinner.

This is a Japanese culture. Japanese people eat eel in summer to build up our stamina. The day we eat it is called "Do-yo-no-ushi-no-hi."

I do not know the exact meaning of the culture, I like the day because I love grilled eel.

Thank you.
